Two-way thrust ball bearings can withstand axial forces in both directions. The 522, 523 and 524 series of bidirectional thrust ball bearings are designed with flat racings and cannot be used with misalignment or shaft deflection. The 542, 543 and 544 series of bidirectional thrust ball bearings are designed with aligning seat and are used with aligning seat washers to compensate for misalignment and shaft deflection.
